Management Skills Course
In September 2003, Sister Marla Lang, FSPA, traveled to
to participate with a Cameroonian-based multi-cultural team in presenting a fourteen day mission effectiveness and management skills course. Sister Marla’s goal was to assist the TSSF as they integrate principles of mission effectiveness, and their Franciscan values into the management practices at their various institutions.
“During the management course the participants identified the key indicators of the TSSF mission, values and vision and how they would like to see them manifested,” said Sister Marla. “It was very satisfying to see all of that come together for them during the course of the two weeks, along with everything from labor law to time management.” Thirty TSSF received certificates of completion for their coursework.
Sister Marla first traveled to
in 1998 when the Common Venture project was just beginning. She noted, “I was privileged to see the significant changes that have taken place since I first visited
The TSSF together with the FSPA, FSE and OSF are rightly proud of the differences the Common Venture has made in our personal and communal lives.”
